Located halfway between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks on one of the most scenic routes in Montana - The Kings Hill National Scenic Byway - look for new interpretive signs along the way on US 89.

White Sulphur Springs population is just over 900 and the county has more wildlife than residents. It is common to pass elk, deer, antelope, hawks, eagles and maybe even a moose as you travel along Highway 89.

During your stay at Conestoga Campground you can enjoy the many attractions in our area, including; numerous restaurants, a movie theater and the "Castle" museum. The local churches welcome you to worship while you are passing through our community.

Mountainview Medical Center is a state of the art primary care hospital with 24-hour emergency room and weekday clinic.

The “Castle” Mansion & Victorian Museum - Stagecoach and buggy collection. Built in 1865 from local stone by a guilded stone mason to mimic a Scottish castle. Filled with local antiques. Open May - September. Fee.

Arrowhead Meadows Golf Course - 9 holes. Open to the public. Beverage and snack service, club and cart rentals.

Showdown Ski Area -
/ Silver Crest Cross-Country Trail System
/ Kings Hill Winter Recreation Area - 30 miles north of White Sulphur Springs. Alpine ski area with 34 runs, rentals, pro shop and daycare, 12 K of groomed cross country ski trails and over 325 miles of groomed snowmobile trails with open high country parks.

Porphyry Peak Lookout - 30 miles north of White Sulphur Springs on Forest Service road 1¼ miles off the highway. Forest Service employee on duty July 1 through Labor Day - Free.

Memorial Falls - 37 miles north on Highway 89, fishing, camping and mountain biking nearby.

Kings Hill National Scenic Byway - from White Sulphur Springs to 74 miles north at the junction of US Highways 89 & 87, near Belt.

Lewis & Clark National Forest District Office - 204 W Folsom, White Sulphur Springs. Open year around.

USFS Belt Creek Information Office - 45 miles north on Highway 89. Open year around.

Newlan Creek Reservoir - 10 miles north on US Hwy 89, then turn west for 2 miles. Camping, fishing and boating. No fee.

The Smith River & Fort Logan - NW of White Sulphur Springs on County Road # 360.
Public Access. Free.

Bair, Sutherlin and Martinsdale Reservoirs - Highway 12 east from White Sulphur Springs. Fishing, boating and camping. No fee.

Sheep Creek Road and Divide Road - Forest service roads beginning about 10 miles north of White Sulphur Springs - great for mountain biking.

Ghost Towns - There are ghost towns nearby, inquire at USFS office below for maps and directions.

Harlowton - Southeast on US Highway 12 for 57 miles. Electric train and Upper Musselshell Museum (Open May - October, No fee).
